Cookie Policy
This is a draft template for guidance only. Please have it reviewed by a qualified adviser and replace the placeholder company details before publishing.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make sites work and to provide information to site owners. This policy also covers similar technologies such as local storage, pixels and tags.
The categories we use
We group cookies and similar technologies into three categories:
- Strictly necessary - security, form submissions, load balancing and remembering your cookie choice. These cannot be switched off.
- Analytics - anonymous statistics about how pages are used, including Google Analytics, so that we can improve the site.
- Marketing - measuring advertising campaigns and showing relevant advertising on other platforms.
Analytics and marketing technologies are optional. No optional script, tag or cookie is loaded on your device unless your choice allows it.
Your choices depend on where you are
We show a different cookie notice depending on the location we detect from your connection, so that you are given the rights that apply to you:
- United Kingdom, European Economic Area, Switzerland, Brazil and other consent-first countries - nothing optional runs until you actively agree. You can accept all, reject all, or choose category by category.
- California and other United States states with comprehensive privacy laws - you receive a notice, may opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information and of targeted advertising, and we honour Global Privacy Control browser signals automatically.
- Australia, Canada and the rest of the world - you receive a clear notice and can turn optional cookies off at any time.
We use your approximate location only to decide which notice to display. It is not stored for marketing.
Google Analytics
Where analytics is allowed, we use Google Analytics with IP anonymisation to understand how the site is used. If you reject analytics, or withdraw permission later, the Google Analytics script is never requested, measurement is disabled and any analytics cookies already present are deleted.
Changing or withdrawing your choice
You can change your mind at any time using the “Cookie settings” link in the footer of every page. Withdrawing permission is as easy as giving it, and takes effect immediately.
Your choice is stored on your device so that we can respect it on your next visit, and is kept for up to twelve months before we ask again.
Third-party cookies
Where we run advertising campaigns, third-party platforms such as advertising and analytics providers may set their own cookies once you have allowed the marketing category. Their use of that information is also covered by their own policies.
Managing cookies in your browser
You can also control or delete cookies through your browser settings, and set your browser to refuse them. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop parts of the site working correctly.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the website changes. The latest version will always be published on this page.
